12 and 13 November 2025 | Nova Gorica and Gorizia
The 5th Hydrogen Ecosystem North Adriatic Conference, held on 12 and 13 November 2025 in Nova Gorica and Gorizia, marked the first major public presentation of NASCHA following the project’s official start in November 2025.
As part of the Hydrogen Ecosystem North Adriatic framework, and co organised by ECUBES and META Circularity, the Conference provided an important stage to introduce NASCHA’s pilot activities and strategic direction to policymakers, industry representatives and ecosystem stakeholders.
NASCHA Presented by the Coordinator
During the session “Nord Adriatic Hydrogen Ecosystem: Results, lessons, and challenges shared”, Alberto Soraci, NASCHA Coordinator from Area Science Park, presented the project within the broader ecosystem context.
His presentation highlighted NASCHA’s acceleration logic, the transition from demonstration to higher technology readiness levels, and the structured approach built around Smart Communities of Practice and industrial pilot validation.
Particular emphasis was placed on advancing solutions towards TRL 8–9 and strengthening investor readiness from the outset.
NASCHA Partners Presenting at the Conference
Several NASCHA partners contributed actively to the programme:
OTRA and the Town of Cres
Ugo Toić presented the Cres pilot focused on hydrogen based mobility and energy independence for island environments.
Municipality of Ajdovščina
Janez Furlan presented the irrigation pumping station upgrade in Črniče, integrating hydrogen ready energy storage with battery systems.
CTS H2
Federica Zagarella presented CTS H2’s modular hydrogen refuelling and storage solutions.
Patria Composite
Marko Muhar presented the development of Type IV composite hydrogen storage vessels with integrated digital traceability and monitoring systems.
Early Alignment within the Ecosystem
Although NASCHA has just started, the Conference confirmed strong alignment between project partners and the broader North Adriatic hydrogen ecosystem.
The presentations demonstrated that NASCHA enters the ecosystem with concrete pilot activities, industrial participation and cross border cooperation already in motion.
The 5th Hydrogen Ecosystem North Adriatic Conference served not only as a visibility milestone, but as the first structured opportunity to position NASCHA within the regional innovation and acceleration framework.
