The North Adriatic Smart Communities Hydrogen Accelerator (NASCHA) held its preliminary kick-off meeting on 11 November at Hotel Perla in Nova Gorica, coordinated by Alberto Soraci of Area Science Park. The session focused on introductions, the project framework, alignment of the partners, and initial implementation plans for NASCHA within the I3 Instrument.

On the following day, NASCHA was presented at the 5th Hydrogen Ecosystem North Adriatic Conference, hosted in Nova Gorica–Gorizia on 12–13 November. The conference highlighted the cross-border cooperation between Slovenia, Croatia and Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy) and the region’s ambition of becoming a first mover in hydrogen innovation, competitiveness and deployment.

As part of the programme, Alberto Soraci presented NASCHA during the session “Nord Adriatic Hydrogen Ecosystem: Results, lessons, and challenges shared,” alongside representatives of NAHV, NACHIP and H2READY.

Together, the kick-off and the conference presentation formally introduced NASCHA within the North Adriatic hydrogen ecosystem and marked the start of its collaborative development phase in the region.
